Century Plaza Condo — Gut Renovation
2 Bedrooms | 2 Bathrooms | 2,700 sq ft
Century Plaza, Century City, Los Angeles

This full gut renovation reimagines a 1976 Century Plaza residence with a refined, modern lens. Led over two years, the project balanced respect for the building’s retro-modern architecture with the creation of a timeless, highly livable home.

The design preserves the spirit of mid-century Los Angeles while introducing contemporary functionality. Natural materials, restrained detailing, and a warm, minimalist palette create a space that feels both architectural and personal, designed to showcase the client’s family art and furniture collection.

Strategic use of mirrored surfaces enhances light and depth throughout, subtly referencing the era of the building while expanding the perceived scale of the interiors. The primary bathroom was reconfigured into a generous his-and-hers layout, combining spa-like elements, floating vanities, and reflective surfaces to create an immersive experience.

The kitchen was fully reworked while retaining an original Sub-Zero refrigerator. Custom rough-cut Italian oak cabinetry, a mirrored backsplash, concealed pinhole lighting, and desert silver quartz countertops bring clarity and cohesion to the space. Professional-grade appliances and integrated storage support modern daily use without visual clutter.

The result is a quiet, elegant interior that honors the legacy of Century Plaza while evolving effortlessly with the client’s lifestyle.
